Remote Consultations

In response to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, we have moved towards conducting remote consultations for the foreseeable future in order to maximise the safety of our patients. This method of consulting avoids the need for you to attend at a hospital or a clinic and thus minimises any unnecessary travel or exposure to public spaces.

Consultations can be conducted either through video link via Zoom PRO or over the phone, depending on the nature of the consultation and its requirements.

Video consultations using Zoom PRO will require that you have a PC, laptop or a tablet with a webcam to ensure that there is an adequate field of view for visual examination purposes. For that reason, smartphones may not be adequate unless the nature of your assessment does not require a visual assessment. A phone consultation may also be adequate for advice regarding the management of headaches and for some other conditions.

If it has been agreed for you to undertake a video consultation, you will be provided with instructions on how to do so prior to your appointment.

Understandably, not all conditions will be suited to this method of assessment. If you are unsure as to whether you might be suitable for undertaking a remote consultation, please contact us to discuss the nature of your query further to see if we are able to help.
